For the past four years, our local branch of Assante Wealth Management staff have been assisting with the creation and running of Sarnia’s first mud run. This exciting event has helped raise over $135,000 for youth programs at Rebound and last year hosted over 900 mudders. Obstacles are invented with the help of many local businesses, including some of our own clients. This year is no different. Our team of financial advisors and support staff fund the $5,000 start-up money, run the key drop and lend a hand to help participants climb and slide the muddy obstacles.
We have some room for runners on our corporate team. Let us know if you have someone age 12 or older who would like to run with our crew; for no charge.
This event reaffirms our strong sense of community building. Rebound is an organization that supports youth in school and social settings through programs that reject bullying and labelling. They are an open door for young people that need mental health, moral, scholastic or artistic assistance. The Hub is one of their newest endeavours that provides food and a clean hang out place for youth that are displaced from their home.
